An Amazing Year

What an amazing year 2010 was!

We began planning our wedding in earnest in January -- and didn't stop until August!

In February, Todd and I moved in together to our wonderful little townhouse that we're renting.

Spring brought a sweet little engagement party thrown by dear friends.

And March brought be back to Texas to see my good friends again.

Memorial Day was a road trip to Indiana to visit Todd's cousins.

And summer brought lots of walks and festivals to explore.

July brought my parents out, which was such a blessing! And it saw my bridal shower too.

Late July took me to DC and Old Town Alexandria to visit a friend. A wonderful time!

And then there was September. September was the most amazing month ever! I celebrated my 30th birthday -- at our rehearsal dinner! A wonderful surprise given to me by my fiance!

The day after was our wedding. The most perfect day I've ever known. To show our love for each other in front God, friends and family was absolutely perfect and we realized how truly blessed we were. The weather cooperated and the party after was great. We're haven't stopped smiling almost 4 months later!

September also brought us to Aruba for 10 days of absolute relaxation and time to stay in "our world" and begin our lives as newlyweds. We could honestly say we didn't want to leave!

We were back about a week and had no time to settle into our new lives before we were off and running again - this time to my cousin's wedding in California! What fun to see some of my family and enjoy a lovely wedding overlooking the Pacific.

October brought us to the airport yet again - this time we were off to Minneapolis to attend the wedding reception of one of my cousins who I hadn't seen in years. We enjoyed seeing her, my dad's side of the family and the Mall of America!

We were back less than a week before we were off and flying again - literally! This time it was to Orlando where we enjoyed four wonderful days at Disney and where I attended the Society of Women Engineer's National Conference.

Home again, there was still no time to rest as we tackled our very first Thanksgiving as a married couple!

December brought lots of baking, hanging out with my husband and preparing for the upcoming holiday. It was defintely a holiday we'll always remember...and that in and of itself is another post!

2010 was a year of firsts. A year filled with love. I cannot wait for the momentum of this year to propell us forward into 2011...

...where more Adventures in Upstate await!
